Soho Garden welcomes DJ Steve Lawler to kick off winter line-up

Summer is coming to an end and you know what that means – the party scene is about to get up and running.

Nightclubs are reopening and DJs are firing up the turntables, and what better way to kick off proceedings than with a set from Steve Lawler?

The British DJ will be taking to the ones and twos at Soho Garden on Thursday September 20 for a massive night of house music.

Also appearing will be Time Out Dubai’s Best DJ duo, Jixo & Danz, who will be appearing every Thursday night alongside Jean B.

Another new face popping up around Meydan will be singer/songwriter Stephon Lamar who will be performing at the weekly Saturday Chills sessions.

And as well as kicking back to Stephon’s smooth croonings, you’ll also be able to enjoy a free bottle of house grape when ordering any two main courses from the brand new menu, or sample some mixed drinks for Dhs45 from Glasshouse bar.

Wednesdays are still ladies’ night at the venue, where ladies get free-flowing house grape from 8pm until midnight while prancing around to the beats of DJ Adam Graca.

Women can also get their hands on a complimentary food platter when booking in advance by mentioning "SOCIAL".

Meanwhile, UK rapper Ramz is flying into Dubai for a special one-off performance at 1 OAK.

Famed for his Spotify number one hit "Barking", the South London star will be performing his new songs in an intimate set during the club’s 1 OAK Nation ladies’ night event this Sunday (September 9).

Ramz rose to fame after being propelled into the spotlight last year, when Barking reached one-million YouTube views, bagging him a record deal with Polydor.

He then left his job at Sainsburys supermarket and has since became a major label artist.

The weekly ladies night at 1 OAK gives women unlimited free drinks all night to a soundtrack of hip-hop and R&B, with a rotation of celebrity guests and performers to get the week off to a cracking start.

1OAK opened in Dubai in March. There are also branches in New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Mexico.

Drai's is also adding to the mix with a spectacular season launch on Friday September 14 and Saturday September 15 with a huge all-day party.

Kicking off at 11am each day, the first 100 ladies through the door will receive free entry and a sunbed.

After that, it's Dhs100 for women including one drink or Dhs200 for gents including two drinks.

On Friday, the party will go on until 1am while on Saturday it all wraps up at 9pm. That means you can have a solid 10 hours of partying.

Next Tuesday, Drai's will be hosting its weekly ladies' day from 11am to 9pm, with a Dhs100 entry fee bagging an open bar with glam services until 4pm.

And in another exciting reveal, Drai's has announced that it will now be open five times per week rather than just on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The club is yet to announce the season line-up, but with big plans to reinvent the day-clubbing scene in Dubai we can't wait to see what the team has in store.

And BASE Dubai, Time Out Dubai’s club of the year, is set to swing its doors open once again on Thursday September 20 in spectacular style with a massive launch of its new weekly event, LYFE.

Kicking off at 11.30pm until the early hours of the morning, night owls can expect a jam-packed event featuring live entertainment, lightshows and lively performances.

Tagged as an “elemental extravangaza,” the event is based around the four elements of earth, air, water and fire, with opening night fittingly featuring a heated performance from Fahrenheit, a dazzling fire show where performers dance and play with flames.

Each week will also showcase a visual experience of ice and fire, along with a number of live shows from internationally renowned DJ Lil Jon, the talented Tony Vegas, Parisian sensation DJ AIK and much more.
