Dubai store is providing a three-layered treat made from Grand Cru cocoa beans, made of 24 karat edible gold.
An up market chocolate store in Dubai named as Boutique le Chocolat at Citywalk – is selling the most expensive chocolates in the region, at least they claim as such.

A 24 karat gold foil wrapped Swiss chocolate truffle, the luxurious ‘Gold Delafee’ can be purchased for Dh15,000 per kg.
This luxurious chocolate is sold in a wooden box wrapped with silk lace; the luscious confectionery is made from Grand Cru cocoa beans of the farm and of pure 24 karat edible gold.
This chocolate ganache is three layered. First bite is a hard shell and from there one reaches to a soft & gooey chocolate inside. The shell is gold coated with a foil and the sweetness is just perfect, says the store’s general manager Michael Currie.

He also says that since it is a niche product, there are regular customers who purchase it for special occasions like wedding or any festival. Once, one curious customer did not have any problem spending Dh150 for one piece of it – just to get a taste.

Gold DeLafee is one among the three most expensive chocolates in the world, according to a report.
The manager of the store also stated that his shop Boutique le Chocolat accumulates 750 kinds of chocolates of 25 brands, which includes most popular Salon du Chocolat and Cacao Barry.
The same store also features various numbers of producers of artisan chocolate from different countries such as France, Japan, the U.S, Belgium, UK, and Denmark. The store has been designed so as to represent three varieties of chocolates – classic, bespoke and fashion.
