Dubai Museum

This heritage house belonged to the Sheikh Ahmed bin Dalmouk; who was a wealthy trader.  It offers best opportunity to view the inside of rich pearl merchant’s residence in Dubai. It is placed in Diera Dubai. It’s near Dubai creek. gypsum, coral and the spacious rooms are covered by a central courtyard and lengthy verandahs. Videos Display gives the idea about every little feature of the routine life of those days and about the traditional games of that time. Location of the kitchen with cooking utensils used in those times gives a rough picture of the lifestyle of the past Dubai inhabitants.

Bastakiya Quarters

It is oldest among such historical places of Dubai and obtained its name from the Iranian town Bastak. This heritage site is situated in Bur Dubai. Bastakiya Quarters is the last wind tower quarters left in this region. These are the preserved residences of the wealthy families living in this area. All the rooms are beautifully ventilated by wind towers; bringing fresh cool air into the houses which are kind of air-conditioning system of those days. The houses look rough from outside but glittery from inside.

Al Fahidi Fort

Al Fahidi fort is the ancient fort in Bur Dubai and attracts a large number of tourists every year. The fort maintains its calm and serenity amongst bustling part of the city. It has built in 1799 and expanded later. This fort was built by shell rubble and coral and using lime as the binder. The ancient fort now houses the collection of the age old marvels called Dubai Museum. These buildings and historical spots are scored among the forefront Dubai appeals.
