Listed as the world’s 53rd most powerful man by Forbes, the President of the UAE and the ruler of its rich capital Abu Dhabi manages 8 % of  the world’s proven oil reserves and is in charge of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority , the world’s biggest sovereign wealth fund. With 630 bn dollars in approximated assets, it has stakes in many flagship companies incorporating Citigroup, the Hyatt Hotels, Britain’s Gatwick airport and the New York’s Chrysler Building, which was recently bought for 800 m dollars. Sheikh Khalifa owns a net worth of 15 billion dollars and has the world’s highest building, Burj Khalifa, named after him.

Sheikh Mohammed’s leadership has turned Dubai into the region’s industrial and financial centre in record time. ‘Dubai strategic plan 2015’ recently started by him, aims to accomplish a GDP of 108 bn dollars by 2015. The ‘UAE Government Strategy’ proposed by the Sheikh refurbished the government in 2007, resulting in a more powerful structure. Also having a fisted political power in the country and across the country and he has been one of the few political figures contributing constant humanitarian support. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation was started by him with an endowment of 10 bn dollars and other various charity actions such as ‘Dubai Cares’ which has given over 910 million dollars to youth education initiatives in poor countries.

She is the first female minister in the UAE has not only proved her appearance domestically but also internationally by listing as the 92nd most powerful woman in the world. She was the former Minister of Economy and Planning before becoming the Minister of Foreign Trade declaration. Her responsibility in strengthening exports with international partners makes her an active part of the UAE’s diversification tactics. She is a member of the ruling family of Sharjah, accomplished plaudits for improving a system that cut cargo turnaround times at Dubai airport. She organized Tejari, the Middle East’s first business-to-business online marketplace, in 2002. The minister also sits on the board of directors at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and board member of the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce.

United Arab Emirates is complimented by many for achieving ambition into reality; a man credited for this achievement is Sheikh Ahmed, Chairman of Dubai World and CEO and Chairman of The Emirates Group and the President of the Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai’s investment wing. He developed the landscape of UAE’s aviation industry by remodelling Emirates from a mere regional airline into the world’s biggest carrier by international passenger traffic. He started the low budget airline Fly Dubai and initiated the creation of airport Terminal 3, the world’s biggest air terminal.  he is also the chairman of Emirates NBD, the deputy chairman of Dubai Executive Council, the head of Dubai Power and Energy Committee and the emirate’s Supreme Fiscal Committee.

Listed as the most powerful, non-royal official in the UAE by Wall Street Journal, and the Director General of The Ruler’s Court, the CEO of the Investment Corporation of Dubai that manages the president of the Dubai Office, which is a private management entity for the ruling family, the government’s investment responsibility and the Chairman of Dubai Islamic Bank, largest Islamic bank in UAE.  Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, he is marked as a close aide of the Dubai’s ruler. His leadership within the ruling family and his credentials make him a high-ranking personality within the political and financial scene. He handles a number of another important job; The Knowledge Fund and International Humanitarian City, board Member of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.

Commander of Dubai Police, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim

Lieutenant Tamim’s accomplishments and impact within the public sector and political scene are extraordinary. He has been an instrumental strength behind modernizing and building a stable police force within the country through originating more than 22 different corporations such as the Dubai Police Academy, the use of DNA in investigations, the Dubai Forensic Laboratory, forming rescue teams and creating the rehabilitation centre for drug users. Tamim, also widely credited for performing fully operational e-government departments has written many books on police work and public matters and is the beneficiary of 8 prestigious awards. In 2004, he won an award for the best regional and executive personal and in 2002 he got the United Nations Award for the best Arabic figure in the battle against drugs. He was also lauded for the investigation into the murder of a Hamas operative who was killed by a hit crew in 2010 in Dubai.
